This historic city really is one worth exploring and you’re sure to have an amazing time checking out all the region has to offer… after you’ve been to see us for the best burger Stirling has to offer, of course!
First of all, make sure you put the National Wallace Monument at the very top of your to-do list. This famous landmark commemorates the life of patriot and martyr Sir William Wallace, overlooking the scene of his greatest victory at the Battle of Stirling Bridge.
And then there’s Stirling Castle, one of the country’s most iconic fortresses perched on a rocky outcrop, with some incredible views of the stunning local countryside. Cameras at the ready!
If it’s culture you’re after, make your way to the Macrobert Arts Centre at the University of Stirling, which hosts over 400 performances of various kinds throughout the year, everything from dance and comedy to film, music and art exhibitions.
And if you want to explore even further afield and get out and about in nature, the Trossachs Trail is an absolute must. There are all sorts of attractions to be discovered along the way, including Doune Castle, Blair Drummond Safari Park, Deanston Distillery, the steamship Sir Walter Scott and a whole lot more.
What about taking a cruise on Loch Katrine aboard the Sir Walter Scott? What a great end to a day that would be! We’d love to hear what you have planned for your trip to Stirling, so get in touch to let us know where you’ll be heading first!
